binding: Contemporary quarter green sheep, flat spine lettered in gilt.
Foxing, very few light waterstains. Binding slightly rubbed.
First French Edition : first translation into French of Faraday's first book, done the same year as the english publication. Interesting to note that at age 36 Faraday's reputation was already such as to demand virtually simultaneous publication.
